About the Team
Cardlytics is building a reporting Center of Excellence within the Client Analytics Organization. Our Analytics team empowers Cardlytics and its partners with deep, actionable insights derived from our unique purchase data. We build sophisticated reporting solutions that illuminate customer behavior, campaign performance, and market trends, directly influencing business strategies and optimizing marketing investments for some of the largest banks and advertisers. 

About the Position

Cardlytics is seeking a Senior Reporting Analyst to join our team, reporting to the Senior Manager, Analytics. In this role, you will be instrumental in transforming complex data into clear, compelling reports and interactive dashboards. 

You will partner closely with your manager and internal teams to interpret data, identify key trends, and present data. This position requires a curious mind, a strong analytical foundation, and a passion for crafting impactful data visualizations and automating reports. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with large datasets, comfortable  in SQL and Python for data manipulation and automation, and skilled in Tableau for creating dynamic and insightful dashboards.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated reports and interactive dashboards using Tableau to track key performance indicators, monitor campaign effectiveness, and identify emerging trends.

  • Work with large datasets in a fast-paced environment, applying SQL, Python, and other statistical and data visualization tools to build custom analyses that answer client questions and influence targeted marketing campaigns.

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the Cardlytics' data environment and how to find and explain data that characterizes a client's customer journey.

  • Contribute to the broader company data culture by sharing insights and best practices, particularly around efficient reporting and data visualization techniques.

  • Create repeatable, and well-documented SQL & Python scripts that streamline Cardlytics reporting needs 

  • Monitor campaign performance to ensure the network is operating at full potential, providing timely and accurate reports.

  • Manage quality control of all deliverables to ensure high standards of accuracy and visual clarity in reports and dashboards.

  • Manage and balance the prioritization of large-scope reporting projects with short-term ad hoc requests.

  • Continuously seek opportunities to innovate, streamline, and improve reporting processes through automation and enhanced data visualization.
     

Minimum Qualifications

  • You are proficient in Python and SQL for data manipulation, analysis, and automation, with experience in libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and Matplotlib/Seaborn.

  • You have demonstrated expertise in developing and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau.

  • You’re curious and always go beyond what is happening to discover why, with a keen eye for detail and data integrity.

  • You’re detail-oriented with the ability to hit deadlines and manage multiple reporting deliverables concurrently.

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, Decision Sciences, Econometrics, or a similar quantitative field.

  • 3-5 years of prior experience in analytics or reporting is a must.
     

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using Databricks

  • Scheduling automated jobs in python

Technical Environment

We primarily use macOS and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides). While our preferred platform is macOS, we support both macOS and Windows. Familiarity with or willingness to work within this environment is required.
