About the Team
The Publisher Analytics team supports our Publisher Account Managers and interfaces with our large U.S. Bank partners to highlight optimization opportunities and inform them of trends with their customers. We analyze engagement and purchase data to understand consumer spending habits, competitive landscapes, and customer journeys.

About the Position
You’ll consult with Fortune 500 partners and account management to present results and identify opportunities for insights. Find the “so what?” in millions of rows of data that will solve key business problems for our Publisher clients. Design and analyze results of marketing campaigns to prove success of targeting strategies and inform future campaign structures.

 Cardlytics is seeking a Lead Analyst to join our team, reporting to the Director of Publisher Analytics.  

Responsibilities:

  • Translate business questions and problems into programming requirements, data extraction and manipulation to generate actionable and compelling insights

  • Perform ad-hoc and custom analyses using SQL, SAS, R or Python

  • Demonstrate a keen understanding of the client’s business, the Cardlytics’ data environment, and how to find data that characterizes the client’s customer journey

  • Develop presentations and present to internal and external clients

  • Write standard, repeatable and well-documented code that can be used across the team

  • Manage quality control of all deliverables

  • Manage and balance the prioritization of large-scope projects with short-term, tactical campaign readouts

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proficiency working with and analyzing, large datasets, especially transactional data

  • Hands-on experience writing custom SQL Coding experience with statistical software—SAS, R, or Python Data storytelling and the ability to simplify complex concepts and analysis

  • Multitasking chops and the ability to hit deadlines 

  • Capable of independently scoping projects to answer specific business problems 

  • Ability to manage long term, complex coding and analytics projects in a self-sufficient manner 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, Decision Sciences, Econometrics, Data Science or similar, quantitative field (Graduate degree a plus)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with Financial Institutions

  • Client facing experience

Technical Environment

We primarily use macOS and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides). While our preferred platform is macOS, we support both macOS and Windows. Familiarity with or willingness to work within this environment is required.
