Senior Software Engineer, Front-end
Location: Taipei office (Hybrid 2-3 days a week)
About the Team
Cardlytics is establishing an engineering hub in Taiwan, and building a productive and innovative engineering team there. This engineering team will be an integral part of the Cardlytics engineering organization. The team will be responsible for the successful software delivery of key products and services, and contribute to the advancement of Cardlytics’ platform and product suite.
About the Position
Cardlytics is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to report directly to the Manager of Engineering in Taiwan. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and enhancing scalable, high-performance, and robust software solutions that power our innovative platform and product suite. You will collaborate with global engineering teams, product managers, and peers to design and implement key products and services that align with the company’s business objectives.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the success of our engineering team in Taiwan while directly impacting the growth of Cardlytics' platform and product offerings.
Responsibilities:
Designing and implementing new user interfaces, features, and applications to provide advertisers, publishers and consumers with actionable insights and services.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and engineers, to define, evaluate, and develop user-facing features in alignment with business goals
Writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code to ensure software quality.
Addressing technical challenges and finding solutions using modern front-end and fullstack technologies
Participating in code reviews to ensure code quality and consistency.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related Engineering discipline
Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+) or TypeScript
Proficiency in modern front-end technologies such as React, React Testing Library, Vitest, and Tailwind CSS
Great communication and collaboration skills in English
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
5+ years of experience in front-end development, demonstrating the ability to deliver high-quality solutions
Preferred Qualifications:
Hands-on experience designing real-world scalable web applications
Solid understanding in front-end i18n, build processes, and CI/CD pipelines
Familiarity with server-side and API development in Node.js, or Java
Practical experience with AWS ecosystem such as S3, Lambda, API Gateway, Terraform, and others
Experience in working across timezones
Technical Environment
We primarily use macOS and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides). While our preferred platform is macOS, we support both macOS and Windows. Familiarity with or willingness to work within this environment is required.
